Recent legislative action, sponsored by the Minnesota Office of Enterprise Technology (OET) and passed by the Minnesota Legislature, requires a 10% surcharge on all new licenses issued and all licenses renewed through any Minnesota board or agency until June 30, 2015. The surcharge is 10% of the license fee, no less than $5 and no more than $150, on each business, commercial, professional or occupational license.
